ABOUT LIKEABIKE
LIKEaBIKE is a toy vehicle for children between two and five -
a walking bike, push bike, balance bike or just a LIKEaBIKE!
The difference to a standard kids bicycle: It has no pedals.
How does this work? Usually pedalling distracts them from balancing and steering which are the important skills they need to ride independently. LIKEaBIKE trains balance and control at a much earlier age than traditional bicycles with training aids. It helps your children to find balance within themselves. They start using the LIKEaBIKE like a hobbyhorse, than walk carefully with it and soon they acquire a sense of equilibrium while they play with it.
The kids discover how the bike works, gain confidence and once they take up speed instinctively regain balance with their feet if the bike starts to tip.
Before you know it your child will be coasting along happily with feet off the ground! This first taste of independence is something they'll never forget.
LIKEaBIKE encourages children to ride a bicycle by themselves and by doing so they automatically learn a lot about balance, co-ordination and agility. It helps to develop their gross motor skills and they gain a lot of self-confidence.
The transition to a standard bike later on is easy: they just add the pedalling.
LIKEaBIKE is as well a great chance for children with special needs.
The LIKEaBIKE maxi helps bigger children or small adults to gain confidence and improve skills such as body-awareness, sense of balance and reaction speed even if they are not able to ride a conventional bicycle.
